  • End of Year Survey 2021

    Wed 14 Jul 2021

    End of Year Survey 2021

Every July, I send out a survey to all our parents to find out how they found their time here at Stockton House School, what the good points were and any bad points (if applicable).

It should not take more than 2 minutes to complete and is totally anonymous. Your answers really help us shape the school for future years so even if it is a criticism then please do let us know so that we can improve going forwards. Equally, if you have rave reviews then we welcome those also!

    https://forms.gle/d2rPxeaQXY3Zw99r6

The final question in the survey asks: "What has your child enjoyed most about Stockton House School?" and I would be grateful if you could use their actual words.

Thank you in advance for completing this. It really does mean a lot to our pre-school.

  • Leave us a review!

Why not leave us a review?

If you have a moment, please take the time to leave us a review on social media - you can copy paste your comments and it will take as little as 3 minutes but mean such a lot to us!

  • Reminder: Application of Sun Screen before school, please!!!

    Tue 08 Jun 2021

As the weather is now getting hotter it's a good time to be reminded about the importance of sun screen.

Please ensure that you have applied sun screen to your child PRIOR to arriving at school. As a school we use Boots Soltan Kids Once Factor 50+ (see attached photo) and will reapply a layer to all children for whom we have permission at lunchtime (except for those in Nursery who leave at 1pm as they would not be going outside prior to home time); however, we do insist that you apply the lotion at home first so that they are protected from the outset. Yes it might be cold first thing but the temperatures are shooting up quickly outside over the course of the day.

Also, children will need appropriate summer clothing AS WELL AS a sun hat each day. If your child wishes to wear summer dresses or skirts, that's absolutely fine as long as they wear leggings or cycle shorts underneath - mud and sand get everywhere so for their own comfort then please do dress them accordingly.

You must let the school know ASAP if your child is allergic to our standard sun screen (if you have not done so already) and provide your own alternative for the classroom to use which is clearly marked with your child's name.

If you have any questions regarding this then please just give the office a call on 01252 616323 / 07487 573692.

    Thank you.

  • Year R places from Sept 2021

    Mon 19 Apr 2021

All children who are eligible to start mainstream school from September 2021 would have received notification of their Year R place via email on Friday 16th April. We hope you all got the school you wanted but please ensure you let us know what school you have accepted at your earliest convenience.

  • Spaces still available for September 2021 onwards!

    Tue 23 Mar 2021

Spring is in the air at last and here at Stockton House School we are starting to see gorgeous flowers popping up everywhere across our unique 4½ acre site that is encircled by ancient trees and grassy fields.

Classroom sizes are kept small so as to best benefit the children, and we have five individual, airy and richly-resourced learning environments for the children to develop, learn and thrive within as well as wide open spaces for them to continue their development outside.

We fully-utilise our outside area, fostering “forest-style” learning with outdoor kitchens, planting areas, swings, slides, mounds and climbing areas and the children have daily access to these resources to develop their cognitive and physical skills. It’s amazing what you can do with a pinecone and some wooden twigs as the imagination of children really knows no bounds!

Children can start here at Stockton House School from 2 years’ old and we highly encourage parents/carers to come see our wonderful facilities.

We still have some spaces left for September 2021 onwards so please call the pre-school now on 07487 573692 to book your visit!
